The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.
Type of Finish: Matte Black
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The rifle bore is bright with sharp rifling. The shotgun barrel is bright. There is some minor fouling towards the breach of the shotgun barrel, but no erosion in either.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows small spots of light surface frosting at the breach block, and very light surface marking. The screw heads are sharp and appear to be unturned. There is what appears to be hardened lubrication or rust proofing at the breach and under lug. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action locks securely and functions correctly. The cross bolt safety blocks the hammer from reaching the firing pins. The barrel selector pivots freely on the hammer and the hammer and trigger function properly. We have not fired this gun..
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This is a great long gun for walks in the field or to be available at the cabin. The rifle barrel in 22 Hornet can be expected to be very flat shooting and with the combination of a 20 gauge lower barrel, this is relatively rare. The 20 gauge is chambered for both 2 ¾ and 3” shells, accepting everything from light target loads to heavy pheasant hunting loads. It is an excellent choice for the outdoors man or woman or as a gift for this years graduating senior. The gun appears to have seen very little use and is in Fine condition.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This gun is transferable in California.
