The Chinese M53 is a copy of the Russian Mosin Nagant M44. Bolt action, 5 round box magazine, side folding bayonet.
The stocks on these guns are not exactly "pretty", but they are sold, sound and without cracks.
The metal on these guns could use a good cleaning, but action is smooth, locks up tight, and the bores are very good, strong rifling and no pitting. Not counter bored. These should be good shooters.
