Questions for Users
Q:  Hi. Any stampings on the stock? any condition issues not described? Thanks, Rick 04/24/2012
A:  The rifle is straight up nice. No cartouche as usual in this piece. I have not removed the butt plate to find out who it was issued to....A fine rifle. 04/24/2012
Q:  Any refinishing or restoration work done, or bluing issues of note? 04/24/2012
A:  Pure as the driven snow. I think most of these rifles; at least from my exposure, are just honest civilian issue closet queens. This one must have been such and has just a small import mark on muzzle. Thanks. Chuck 04/25/2012
Q:  Hello seller, awesome rifle! Do you think the stock may have been refinished? From the pics, it appears much more glossy than most K-31s. This would also explain why the cartouche is missing....they sometimes get sanded off. 04/28/2012
A:  I am not 100%, but I am 80% sure there was no sanding. The wood has some natural roughness and light and dark shading. I'm also not sure that all had a cartouche as well. I use lemon oil to clean and nurish the wood and I have used a ultra-fine steel wool to clean off the crud on some pieces that really needed it, but not in this case. That's all I can tell you. Thanks for your question. 04/28/2012
