    Q:  Is this an AE model and also is it drill and tapped for optics? Thank you for your time 04/16/2012
        A:  It is an Angle Eject model (you can tell from the lowered rail on the right side receiver). To mount optics on a 94, you have to use a side mounting base as there is no top of the receiver to mount to. I believe that most of these side mount bases use the existing holes on the receiver - But you would need to research that further depending on the base you choose. 04/17/2012
