Guns For Sale - Volunteer Enterprises -- Commando Mark III .45 acp

DO NOT BID THIS GUN IS IN VIOLATION OF ATF RULES SORRY MY MISTAKE.Commando Mark III pistol. I'v only seen these as a rifle like the Thompson .45.I don't know if this was manufactured this way or if the barrel was shortened by a gun smith. There are two screws in the rear bottom of the receiver that my be where the stock attached. One of those screws is missing. There are a few scratches and marks here and there. This came from a estate sale and I know nothing about it other then some research on the net. There is no mag with this gun. If anyone has information on this please comment.Sorry but I have to close this auction. I think this gun my be in violation of federal law.I'm going to have a gun smith remove the barrel and re-list as a receiver only.Sorry but don't want to do anything against ATF rules

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Hello, You may want to research this gun further. If this Commando originally was made with a barrel of 16 inches or more it was probably classified as a rifle. I believe that to shorten a rifle to under 16 inches or shotgun barrel to under 18 inches may violate federal regulations. If I'm right, this gun may be considered in the same class as a sawed off shotgun....a class 3 firearm. I'd check BATF regulations and search out the factory specs on this gun before you try to sell it. You don't want to mess with the feds. Just my opinion. Best of luck, Bud 04/15/2012
A:  Thanks for the info.I'v looked for info on this gun and haven't had much luck.It looks to be factory but not sure. 04/15/2012
