Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. OLD WINCHESTER MODEL 12 MADE IN 1914-15

Priced to sell

Winchester
Model 12
Caliber/Gauge: 12 gauge

Description: MODEL 12 COLLECTORS TAKE NOTE. Here is a well used but reliable Winchester nickel steel barrel Model 12. Based on the serial numbers it looks to be a 1914. (Don't hold me to that, but that is what the serial number shows.) This is It is devoid of finish but is the kind of gun that every hunter wants in his collection. The blue book shows this gun to range anywhere between $300-$800. But the following additions would apply. Add 20% for 32 in. barrel (must verify). Add 10% for pre-WWII mfg. If you are looking for a very good ole gun at a reasonable price, then this is the gun.

The Model 1912 (shortened to Model 12 in 1919) was the next step from the Winchester Model 1897 hammer-fired shotgun, which in turn had evolved from the earlier Winchester Model 1893 shotgun. The Model 12 was based in part on the M1893/97 design by John Browning. It was an entirely new design initially available in 20 gauge only (12 and 16 gauge guns were not sold until 1914). The Model 12 was the first truly successful internal hammer pump-action shotgun ever produced. Its tubular magazine was loaded through the bottom of the gun. Empty shotgun shells ejected to the right. Depending on the particular wooden transformer plug installed in the magazine, two, three, or four shells could be stored in the tubular magazine. The magazine holds six, 2¾" 12 ga. shells, when no plug is installed, unlike most shotguns of today which hold 4 or 5 shells. With forged and machined steel parts, the ultimate reason for discontinuation in 1963 was that it was too expensive to produce at a competitive price.

Many avid gun collectors look for these guns with their large capacity to use as cut down home defense weapons against such there is absolutely no equal. Whatever your reason, I have a beautiful specimen at a very reasonable price.

AUCTION TERMS – PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING <-------

DISCLAIMER ~ PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING!!!

Winning Bidder Responsibilities are that of determining that a used firearm is safe to shoot. Firearms have been given a visual inspection only for auction purposes, unless noted in the description.

ALL GUNS ARE SOLD AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO WRITTEN EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY. READ THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES AND ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS. I HAVE BEEN BURNED VERY BADLY BY PEOPLE WHO RETURNED GUNS THAT HAD SUFFERED SEVERE DAMAGE BECAUSE A BUYER DAMAGED MY GUN

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS--Modern firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your area. Bidder to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms only (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old).

California Residents--I do not ship to California at this time.

Antique firearms require bidder to supply proof of age. Some areas still require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.)

SHIPPING--Buyer pays shipping cost as mentioned in the description of the item. Quoted prices are for the lower 48 States…AK & HI are often an additional charge.

A note about shipping charges. I used to ship my guns for a flat $25.00. However due to shipping increases because of the price of fuel (so they say) and the safety requirement to insure all of my guns, I have had to increase the cost to ship the guns. The insurance alone adds between $9.00 to $17.00 on each gun. I can assure my clients that I am not making any money on the shipping of my guns.

$40.00 SHIPPING/HANDLING PER HANDGUN EACH HANDGUN ORDERED (INSURED)

$45.00 SHIPPING/HANDLING FOR EACH LONG GUN ORDERED. (INSURED)

HANDGUNS are shipped USPS Priority Mail/Insured; LONG GUNS are shipped UPS ground/Insured. If you prefer another type of shipping, it can be arranged. I include a signed copy of my FFL with each firearm shipped.

The same applies for a C&R holder. Any firearm that qualifies for "Antique" status will be shipped directly to the winning bidder. A copy of bidder's driver's license for proof of age will be needed.
