Buyer Tip: If you're the
High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder.
Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't
high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that
you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Time.
Antique Pair Of Cased Smith & Wesson First Model #3 .44 Russian. The serial Numbers are #6484 & 7846. They are about 60% condition. One has a little rust but not too bad.The bores are clean and the action works on both. The mahogany wooden case looks original and has the key that locks it. The .44 Russian also known as the .44 S&W Russian, is a blackpowder center fire metallic revolver cartridge developed by Smith & Wesson in 1870. The .44 russian design marked the first use of an internally lubricated bullet in modern firearm ammunition. I got these from a collector in Phoenix, Arizona about five years ago.
