Custom Remington 700 308 cal. Built by Terry Chadwick in the early 90s. Mr. Chadwick was a sought after master gunsmith and customized firearms for near 50 years. This is the most impressive rifle I’ve fired with bullet holes touching at 300 yards (that’s the extent of the ranges here). I fired exactly 60 rounds of Hornady 168 gr BTHP through the rifle after it was bore sighted to sight in the scope. It’s been stored in a climate controlled vault since. Comes with original box for the rifle and scope along with paperwork and instructions. The rifle features a laminated stock, floating bull barrel, Harris quick detachable spring loaded foldable bi-pod adjustable 6-12” that attaches to the swivel stud, Timney trigger adjusted at 2 lbs, polished ramp, polished fitted bolt, custom pin and spring. He performed some other “tweaks” but I don’t recall the details. The scope is a Generation 2 Springfield Government model 4-14-56 with range finder, internal level, focus adjustment, reticles out to 1000 yards, parallax correction and Butler Creek caps. Calibrated for 168 gr 308 rounds. I had the rifle built for groundhogs and coyote on property we owned but sold prior to it being completed. Mint condition, no dents, dings scratches or rust. I have over 2000 invested when the rifle was completed close to 20 years ago. With the right ammo and shooter I have doubts any comparable rifle will out preform it or function as smoothly. My photos aren’t too good due to the flash. Please excuse the glare in areas. The appearence is much better than the photos with the one of just the stock being closest in color.
