Winchester M1 Garand rifle made in 1943. Restoration from a CMP Winchester Garand with paperwork. The only parts that are not correct for this Winchester is the stock and butt plate. Parts are as followed: WWII Wra barrel with arsenal rebuild chrome at gas port, has the flaming bomb and partial Wra proof mark, the chamber is partly in the white. Barrel is a little dark and fails the bullet test so it has some muzzel wear, probably from cleaning with the old steel cleaning rods. I have shot this rifle and it groups about 4" at 100 Yds. (51 year old eyes). Rear sight has open arrows on elevation and windage knobs. Aperture is WRA no tracks, Long pinion with type II lockbar. Trigger housing is marked D28290WRA and is cloverleaf and locks up tight. Trigger guard marked C46025WRA, Trigger marked A, Hammer marked C46008-1WRA. Bolt is marked D28287-1WRA. Gas cylinder is WRA narrow base round on top and front sight has the wide 7/8" inch ears with punch mark. Early single slot gas plug. Follower is early unmarked, Bullet guide is milled marked A, early CM marked op rod catch, follower arm single bevel, Follower rod milled short fork A marked, Lower band is milled and arched with solid pin, Clip latch is CM marked and round on front. Op rod is marked D35382-WRA and has the relief cut. Stock is short channel WWII S.A. with OG rebuild mark on left side above trigger, P proof mark at heel, and has 1 brass screw repair on left side in front of trigger housing. Front handguard has brass screw repairs toward the barrel band. Butt plate is WWII S.A. Nice looking WWII leather 1907 sling with steel hooks is included along with the CMP paperwork. Nice looking rifle with MANY hard to find parts. 3 day inspection period. You will be happy with this Winchester!! Shipping is $30.00 to your FFL or C&R.
