You are bidding on an ITHACA Crass Model, Quality 1, 12 GAUGE SXS. MADE in 1893. SN 25028. Works fine mechanically. ORIGINAL 30" DAMASCUS steel barrels still show lots of nice pattern. Shiny unpitted bores. Left tube does have a small ding that protudes just lightly into bore at 9 0'Clock 9 " from muzzle. Of course this can't be fired with ANY MODERN AMMO. [CONSULT YOUR GUNSMITH] but could likely be used with black powder loads since it seems nice and tight. Receiver exhibits nice Quality 1 factory engraving. There is some light case coloring left but receiver is mostly a pleasant silvery appearance. Left fring pin retention screw looks like the head was broken off. Some other screws show screwdriver marks. Original snap one splinter forend has wear to checkering but still most of it's original finish. Original buttstock has dual chips missing out of bottom cheeks where it meets receiver. LOP is 14 1/4 inches to original ITHACA checkered horn buttplate. Buttstock has some smaller dings but most of it's finish and no cracks. This first quality engraved piece would make a nice addition for the Ithaca collector. See pics for details.
