Our Assessment: This is a correct – IN EVERY WAY - French Naval belt hook 1837 pistol. It is still in firing condition, and for a black powder piece of this vintage, is incredible on its own. The metal is strong and the stock is good with just one small crack. These pistols are not often found here in the U.S., and when they are they are pretty beat. This is a true find and is especially collectible!!!!
