Please read the question at the bottom. I had another user get in touch with me. He said that his Python does have "Hunter" on the barrel....SO, maybe this one is NOT and original Hunter...I'm just not sure.
THIS IS THE COLT HUNTER PACKAGE THAT COMES IN A HALLIBURTON ALUMINUM CASE. THIS PACKAGE WAS OFFERED BY COLT IN 1981 ONLY. COLT COLLECTOR'S WILL WANT TO TAKE A LOOK.
THE BARREL IS 8" WITH AN EXCELLENT BORE. IT COMES WITH A LEUPOLD 2X SCOPE THAT IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH CRISP AND CLEAR OPTICS. THERE ARE OTHER ACCESSORIES IN THE CASE (SEE PICTURES). THE FOAM IN THE CASE HAS A COUPLE SPOTS WHERE IT'S BREAKING DOWN. YOU CAN SEE THIS IN THE PICTURES, AS WELL.
THIS IS A GREAT COLLECTOR'S PIECE OR A NICE GUN FOR THE SHOOTER. HUNT, SHOOT, OR COLLECT...THESE WILL ONLY GO UP IN VALUE.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this isn't a true Python Hunter is it. The hunter is stamped "Hunter" on the barrel. It looks like a standard 8" with all of the hunter options added to it.

"Hunter" is not stamped on the barrel. I'm confused, though; because the previous owner showed me the original receipt that said "Python Hunter" on it. He paid $1370 for it. I'm going to make this public. Maybe someone else can add some information.

It is correct I have a Python Hunter and it is roll marked on the barrel. However it is still a great deal for an 8 inch python and a leupold scope. I would buy the case!

I to have a "Colt Python Hunter" and sorry to say, the gun you show in the pictures is the standard Colt Python 8" barreled revolver, not the "Hunter" edition. It does appear to have all the other Hunter add-ons though. Check to make sure the leupold scope has "Colt" and "Leupold" on the emblem on the side of the scope, that was the scope used with the "Colt Python Hunter".
