Fine Remington .31 Cal Percussion Pocket Revolver
Offered herein from a fine collection of Civil War and early
postwar percussion and cartridge firearms is this fine little
Remington New Model .31 caliber, 5-shot pocket
revolver. This specimen, serial number 1125 was
manufactured from 1865-1873 and has a 3-1/4”
octagon barrel. Popular as a private carry pistol until the advent of the cartridge era, this specimen is all original and in fine, sound condition and
mechanically very tight. The gun retains a smooth grey patina overall with sharp markings. It has just a few spots of the finest, “pin-prick” pitting/speckling
and is smooth to the touch. The grips are excellent retaining about all varnish. A good, representative Remington pocket revolver of the percussion period.
