Buyer Tip: If you're the
High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder.
Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't
high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that
you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Time.
winchester mod 70 transition! 1946 one of the first mod 70 assembled after the war. the first ser # after the war is reported as 60xxx. the serial # of this rifle is 60075! in 30.06. redfield peep sight. almost new condition. Blue Book of Gun Values has this rifle in 98% condition at
$1440. I purchased this rifle from an estate. It came with three boxes of shells with 5 shells missing. the boxes are marked $2.97 ea! The rifling is sharp and clean. The checkering is very sharp. I think that it was cut not pressed as they do it now. The rifle has a small 3/16 insh scratch on the barrell and a rub marks on the front sight hood and a small one on the barrell. There are some small marks where a scope was mounted on top of the chamber. It has been standing in a closet in a sock for over sixty years! The stock is probably a dark walnut. This is a fine example of a early transition mod 70.
Shipped UPS. USPO money only.
