This is a 13" X 19" poster originally issued by the Peter's Cartridge Company in 1917. I have taken the original and reconstructed it pixel by pixel, fixing all the fading and color shifts with PhotoShop. Is is now reprinted using a commercial grade Epson printer using 100 year heavy matte paper and 100 year ink. The detail is fantastic (it is a 165 megabyte file !) you can even see the veins on the back of the soldier's hand. This 72 dpi scan in the auction only gives you a faint idea of what a great reproduction this is. Who, with any heart at all, cannot be moved by the Doughboy's tearful farewell to his faithful companion. We can only hope that he returned from "The War to End All Wars" to once again tread the hunting fields with his loyal dog. No reserve, Shipping by Priority mail with tracking in a tube is $6.00.
