Consignment auction for a matched set of new S&W Model 65-1 357 Mag.
(Serial numbers are sequential) Both guns are Stainless 4" Hvy Barrel, square butt with S&W Target Grips. Both guns
are new & unfired. The display box, appears home made, but is walnut,
with foam padding & a S&W shoulder patch glued to inside top. Manufactured in the Mid-70's.
There are sequential serial numbers etched into the flat recess at the base of the barrel on each gun & on the bottom of the frame under the grips. They are D774471 & D774472. There is no paperwork with the set or the original boxes for the individual guns, so I have no clue if they're
some special edition or not. So basically you get to bid on two nice Model 65-1's with a pretty box, at a reasonable price(Starting at $395 per gun). Must ship to FFL. Please don't bid if not legal to own in your area. No CA Sales. Buyer pays actual shipping by

FYI: I've added a couple of photos of the etched numbers under the barrel,
my camera's flash blanks out one, but it is about as visible as the other
number on the upper barrel. The numbers are not visible when the clyinder
is closed as they are covered by the ejector rod. FYI: I received some info that the Numbers etched on the barrels are the serial numbers & I confrimed this by pulling off grips on both Revolvers and finding stamped
serial numbers that match the barrel numbers on the bottom of both frames.
So these two Smith's are numbered sequentially.
