is this SCARCE .38 SPECIAL version of the
Ruger Speed Six revolver with hammer changes which were a documented special order change specifically for use in the New York Police Department .
Acquired just a few steps away from out Southport
office where we operate the Ruger Collectors Association, this specimen has seen very little if any use and may well have been just test fired. Just a few light storage/use marks, about 99.9%++ condition, STAINLESS, just about unused NEAR MINT grips which are originally factory grips. Serial number 162-42654 this desirable specimen was manufactured circa 1988 6-Shot. The gun was issued in .38 SPECIAL CALIBER specifically for the New York Police Department. It was also issued without an exposed hammer. Accompanying purchase of this revolver is a DOCUMENTATION LETTER FROM Ruger attesting to shipment to the NYPD in 1988.
