which undoubtedly must have been
the favorite of the individual
who owned it. This shotgun,
a Remington Model 870TB
Trap Model deluxe shotgun, certainly has seen a goodly amount of use
– as evidenced by its wear. However, it was well cared for in its day and still has an MINT bore. This specimen, serial number 5671006V, has a 30”
barrel, and is the deluxe version of this 870 model.
Although used and with considerable light scratches in its stock, the wood is simply spectacular-finely figured flagged and flamed crotch walnut. The metal retains
about 92-95% original finish, thinning in spots overall with signs of wear and carry but without rust or pitting. Perfect to use and carry without risk of altering the aesthetics of the piece, it certainly good be refinished and returned to its original beauty.
