Seller's Description

1800s BAYONET SCABBARD 2

Original Lower Grade 1800`s steel BAYONET SCABBARD for US 1873-1884 TRAPDOOR 45-70 SPRINGFIELD, + fits 1855-1865 CIVIL WAR bayonets exactly. Also perfectly fits all 50-70 Trapdoor bayonets, 1865-1873. And, some Rolling Blocks. Measures just over 18 inches. It is the steel scabbard only, with no parts or leather attached. Can be easily added with scrap thick leather. Lower grade condition, a bit worse than my other listed higher grade scabbard #1, in the Bayonets category, + can still go into battle. IF your scabbard is missing, badly bent, gnarled, crushed, badly rusted, or just plain ghastly, horrid, + wretched, here is a rare outstanding opportunity to upgrade at a low price. This one may be a bit dented, or rusty, but still solid + use-able. Can be improved somewhat by some sanding. Again,it also fits all US 1861-1865 Civil War socket bayonets perfectly, if you can`t get a rare leather scabbard, and also fits all US 50-70, + some Rolling Block socket bayonets. Well suited for lower grade bayonets. We have several of these scabbards-will list them one at a time. your bid is for ONE, as described. If you handle old bayonets it may be good, while these few old original scabbards are available, to have several on hand for later. You always get higher prices when a bayonet has a scabbard. From old W. Stokes Kirk,of Philadelphia, 1876-1974. Well worth a good price, if you can find one for sale. Start it LOW at 6.95. For a higher grade scabbard, to match a better grade bayonet, for more money, please see other auction, "Bayonet Scabbard 1800`s Springfield #1" in "Edged Weapons" category. Rare opportunity. Well worth MORE. Check, Mo to- MICHAEL BARNES. NO PAYPAL. NO pics, but let my 4,000+ stoneman61 ebay Feedbacks speak for me. Start this lower grade but use-able scabbard LOW at 6.95. Add 5.95 S+H.
