Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are wood. The woods has been sanded and cleaned and there is no hardware currently mounted on the stock. There are just a few scuff marks and small scratches present. The LOP measures approx. 13 ½” from the trigger to the back of the wood buttstock. The stocks rate in about good overall condition. The buttplate is missing as well.

Bore Condition: The bore is gray and the rifling is shallow. There is erosion in the barrel.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 25% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows age wear and loss of finish on the barrel and receiver. There is old grease that has hardened at the bolt. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about poor condition. Please consider this a relic condition rifle, suitable for parts or a rebuild - only.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The bolt cocks and the trigger releases the firing pin. We did not fire this gun. This gun is missing its magazine, and trigger guard and most of its screws. Additional parts are likely missing, please see the pictures.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There are parts included with this gun that are not assembled; a sling swivel (which may not be for this gun) and a magazine floorplate.
Our Assessment: If you are trying to restore a Remington 511 and need parts, here you go. The bolt, stock, and sights are good. Have some fun this winter or introduce those grandkids to gunsmithing.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This gun can be transferred in California and is C&R eligible.
