Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Can you please provide additional information as to the age of the shotgun; serial number (trying to confirm it is an actual browning since their was custom work) and whether browning made the stock/forearm. Since this is a custom made stock, what is your return policy or thoughts if the gun does not size well? thanks 01/04/2012
A:  Thank you for your interest in my Browning 325. It is indeed a Browning, serial #47587NZ and engraved on bottom of receiver "Browning 325". I bought the gun on July 24,1999 from the owner of Shane's Sporting Clays in Summerfield, NC for $1475. (I have receipt). The story as follows: I was at a Ducks Unlinited Sponsor shoot at Shane's and saw the gun for sale. I had no intention of buying another gun at that time, but I kept picking it up and shouldering it and I just could not resist. It mounted perfectly and I never before realized what a difference a perfect fitting gun made to my shooting. (At the time, I was shooting a standard Browning Citori with LOP of about 14 3/4 inches.) I have always been a pretty good shot, but this gun put me on another level! As told by Shane ( whose son was at that time a nationally known Sporting Clays shooter). Shane was tall and needed a better fitting gun. He bought the 325, new from a well known gun shop in Greensboro, NC whose owner was a good friend of his (I cannot remember his name) and had it sent to Browning along with this block of aged walnut he had to make his custom stock. As best as I can tell, it has about the same diminsions as a stock 325 except for the LOP of 15 1/2 inches and all of the edges are softer and the finish is "softer". It feels like a piece of "rubbed" furniture. You can see this in the pictures and they are accurate. If the LOP is right for you, you will be extremely pleased. I am selling the gun as I just don't shoot that much any more and it would make a fine addition to some one else's collection. I probably have not shot it more than five times in the last five or six years. You are welcome to try the gun after buying, and return it postage paid and insured (in the same shape as received) if not suitable, according to Auction Arms policy. You may e-mail me at jyeamanembarqmail***GunAuction*** or call me at 276-634-7323 for more information. Thank you again. Best wishes, John 01/04/2012

Q:  Do you think your Browning was made in Italy? I've heard they are now made by Beretta - is the barrel porting factory done? Could you send closeup photos of the porting? Thanks much.... Regards, Hangfire10 02/01/2012
A:  Dear Hangfire10 - Thank you for your interest. Brownings have been made in a number of countries including: North America, South America, Belgium, Portugal, Italy and Japan. This one was made in South America. I own and have owned a number of Brownings, made in a number of different countries and all have served me beautifully. As far as I know, the porting is factory done. If you will e-mail me direct, I will send you pictures as I don't known how to attach pictures here. Best wishes, John jyeamanembarqmail***GunAuction*** 02/02/2012
