This was once long ago prehistoric tree wood that got changed under water by silica-cellulose replacement into a very hard flint-agate-like stone that became so hard it will easily scratch glass. Over 100 years ago, Indians chipped this hard stone into points + tools. Easy to still see the original wood grain lines now 100% solid stone. Can take a good polish.
