Buyer Tip: If you're the
High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder.
Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't
high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that
you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Time.
This is a Remington Model 788 bolt-action centerfire rifle in 30-30 caliber, which is a rare caliber for this rifle. These guns were made from 1967 to 1983 and they quickly gained a reputation for extreme accuracy. This one was made in 1967 and the serial number is 03578X. The 22" barrel has an excellent bore. It does not appear that this rifle was used very much. Barrel and receiver bluing is about 85%+ with some wear on the receiver and a few marks on the barrel. The plain one-piece Walnut Monte Carlo stock has no cracks or repairs, very few marks, 90%. The magazine holds 4 rounds. Length of pull is 13 3/4". The rifle is drilled and tapped for a scope and there are no front or rear sights, the holes are filled with plug screws. Feeds, fires and extracts just fine. FFL needed. Shipping is $25.00
