Our Assessment: The Harrington & Richardson Model 999 “Sportsman” revolvers have a devoted nearly cult following. They have a reputation for being as or more accurate than many more lustrous names, a premiere shooter, at a workingman’s price! This particular revolver is in remarkable condition for a pistol of its vintage. Many a sportsman and shooter learned their skills on revolvers such as these. This one is in such nice condition that it is like stepping into the past when these could be purchased at the local “Western Auto” or hardware store, or bought over- the- counter. This revolver will make a great Christmas present for that new shooter. A find!
