Our Assessment: The Marlin 70 HC is a terrific little carbine, and everything you could want in a .22. Simple, reliable, handy and accurate, it is well suited for small game hunting. It can also be used for low cost but serious target practice for competition, hunting, or just plinking. It is ideal for young shooters since it is small and light-weight and the semi-auto action is sure to put a smile on their face. Tt would make a great little survival rifle.
