This is a great Model 1889 Italian Bodeo Revolver. It was manufactured in 1923 and could have seen action in WWII as it came from a WWII Vets Collection.
The model 1889's were in 10.4mm which was the standard Italian Revolver cartridge at the time. It is in very fine condition, Action works great, The revolver has over 80% original finish. The usual scattered light pitted areas on a military revolver, mostly on the butt where the revolver was exposed to the elements. Bore somewhat dark and dirty, with pitting yet with strong rifling. Should clean up quite a bit ! I would not hesitate to shoot it with proper loads.
Manufactured by Metallurgica Bresciana Gia Tempini in Brescia, Italy. This is a must have for the Military Revolver Collector. As with French Revolvers, the Europeans have been buying these back for 50 years, and nice examples like this one are getting difficult to find. C&R or FFL are required, as this is not an antique. Auction starting at only a penny !
