Guns For Sale - High Standard Manufacturing Corporation -- Double Nine Model W-101 .22 LR Revolver

Hi-Standard (High Standard) “Double Nine” Model W-101 .22 LR revolver, C&R eligible. Barrel is 5.5”, nine shots, double action. Designed to resemble a single action revolver. The “ejector” actually pulls the cylinder axle forward to release the cylinder to swing out for loading and unloading. Mechanically excellent, rotation and lockup are as new, trigger action is steady and crisp and ignition is dependable. Aluminum frame and trigger guard are painted with a matte finish, trigger and hammer are color case-hardened, balance is blued. Has been carried and fired, shows handling marks. Tiny bright spots in pics are paint chips on the aluminum frame. Bluing is thinned a bit on a few edges. Cylinder has drag marks from bolt. Grips are in fine shape, made of heavy white plastic resembling ivory. Questions will be answered promptly. Thanks for looking.

    Q:  Very nice Double Nine! I have one identical to it, also a W-101. I believe this gun was made between 1958 and 1960. About as good a .22 revolver as was ever made. 09/20/2011
        A:  Thanks! I've tried to take care of it, and I was surprised to see how nice it is compared to many others I've found online. I've enjoyed shooting it, but I figured it's time to give someone else a chance to enjoy it. And I need to make room in the safe :'D 09/20/2011
