FP-45 Liberator Pistol 1st Model Replica. Less than a 1000 pcs run of standard 3rd model pistols was made by VintageOrdnance.com and only two of these were built. The pistol is a class 1 firearm and has a rifled barrel. The manufacturer information is discreetly stamped on the lower portion of the barrel in the trigger guard in 1/16th" characters on two lines "FP-45,.45 ACP/VOCO, E-town, KY" The only other marking is the serial number on the front of the grip frame. The firing pin hole is not fully drilled through and Vintage Ordnance Co. LLC does not advocate firing any Liberator pistol due to the inherent dangers in its design. 1st Model pistols were unreliable becuase the cocking piece sometimes rotated during firing causing the firing pin to miss the hole in the breech block!
