Savage Model 99 300 Savage Take down. The story of the Savage 99 is long and storied. It was designed to take the Spritzer Bullet. The 300 Savage was a marvel of it's day, for a lever rifle of the time to approach 30-06 ballistics was an incredible achievement. This Rifle belonged to my customer's dad who bought it the late 1930's. The Date of manufacture is 1936. The numbers on the stock match. The Bore is in good shape with nice lands and groves. While not a museum quality piece, it looks mechanically sound and should shoot great, like all Savage 99s do. The side has been drilled and tapped for a scope, the mount and scope come with it. It has not been refinished. Please feel free to stop by our store and check this and our other fine firearms out.
