Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - William Moore -- 12 ga Presentation Stage Coach Gun 10% layaway

10% down will hold until June 2012 when this item will be again available. Informed bidders who watch Antiques Roadshow on PBS will note that on a recent show another Overland coach gun with a crude brand as identification and lacking anywhere near the history of this gun was valued by the expert at $3000. From my late Uncle's estate comes this presentation 12 bore percussion coach gun. It was presented to the famous stageman Frank Root. As well as the gun you get a copy of Root's book on his adventures and a copy of the Expressmen which has a big writeup on him. Finally 2 pictures of Root, one as a young man with a gun and the other as a senior. The maker's name is William Moore, the rib is marked "Warranted London Twist" and the rib has three platinum inlays across it. The locks, buttplate, cross pin escutchons, ramrod retainer and tang are all engraved. All screws are "north/south". All in all a better grade gun of its era. Antique, NO FFL or C&R required. Three month layaway available. Gun will be shipped Priority Mail, fully insured and tracked. Buyer will pay actual cost.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  I see NO BIDS.......I also see YOU fail to post ANY Feedback........Great record...! 02/17/2012
A:  Perhaps you should sit down and have a tall cool one. It really is not up to you to be telling other members how to conduct themselves unless you are an employee of Auction Arms charged with that responsibility. All items sold and delivered have had feedback posted. Those on lay-a-way will also have f/b posted when the transaction is completed. No bids eh ? Wonder where all the sales I have made came from. Sounds like you are living up to your handle, if you can't steal it you don't want it. Take a deep breath and calm down, you'll live longer. You'll note my f/b is 100% positive and no one has accused me of selling a painted gun and calling it "patina". 02/18/2012

Q:  Can you spread out the layway over a longer period of time. I really want the gun, but I am a disabled vet and about $300 a month is all I can afford. I have looked for something like this for awhile, but on a fixed income things can get real tight. If we can work things out I can send you my first payment right away after auction ends!! Thanks Rob 04/30/2012
A:  Rob, First off all, thanks you for your service to our country ! As far as the lay-a-way goes, YES, I can spread the payments over a longer period in consideration of your financial issues. If you place a bid and it wins I will extend the final payment to the first week in November (6 months). I would expect payments to be 1/6th of the total (including, shipping, insurance and tracking) to be posted on the anniversary date of the auctions close ( 5/7, 6/7, 7/7 and so on.) Thanks for your interest ! Let me know if this is satisfactory. 05/01/2012
