Buyer Tip: If you're the
High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder.
Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't
high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that
you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Time.
This is a very nice 1988 Bowie knife, commemorative of John S. Mosby. On one side of the knife reads: I SHALL MOUNT THE STARS TONIGHT JOHN SINGLETON MOSBY. There is a picture of Mosby with confederate flags. Near the handle is a pair of Eagles and under them is USHS 1988. On the other side reads: 43RD BATTALION VIRGINIA CALVERY. Also, is a scene of soldiers and Mosby carrying the confederate flag. All of the letters and scenes are etched in gold tone. The handle is gold tone and has a steel blade. The knife measures 17 1/2" long. It comes in a very nice, felt lined, wooden case which measures 20 1/4" long and 5 3/4" wide. Top of case in in excellent condition, but the bottom has several deep scratches. Other than the scratched case, the case and knife are in very good condition. (Shipping cost will be actual cost.)
