Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Mannlicher -- Dutch 1895 Cavalry Carbine 6.5x53R caliber

Seller's Description: DESCRIPTION: Dutch Mannlicher Cavarly Carbine by Hembrug (not Steyr) in 6.5x53R caliber, with New Model wooden shield on left side of magazine, making it very unique. Being a cavalry carbine made to lay against the soldier's back on it's left side, there's no shield for the right side. Here's a chance to own a piece of history from the low countries, how often does this happen? Barrel approx 17 3/4 inches. Overall, it rates a very good condition. The metal shows normal handling marks and the blueing looks to be about 95%. There is no rust pitting or freckles. No import markings. The wood shows normal handling marks as well, with normal dents and such, including a small chip near the butt. There is no spliting, repairs, or cracks in the wood. This firearm is clip-fed, similar to the Italian Carcano, but no clips are included. The bolt matches itself, but not the receiver--the rest of the numbers match the receiver. The bore is bright, with strong rifling. SALES INFO: Calif. sales OK. No sales to restricted states or cities. Personal checks OK but firearm held until check clears. Sorry, no credit cards and no layaway. C&R or FFL required. PLEASE READ: This firearm has not been test fired, and it's the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that it's safe to operate. By bidding on it, the buyer assumes all responsibility for safe operation.
