Gun retains a pleasing even age patina overall with some minor pitting and light surface rust. Brass mounted. British proofs on the barrel. Wood is fine with some dings and scratches. There are a few minor very old cracks by the lock. Excellent working order. Has W.PIKE in the wood just ahead of the trigger guard. Not sure what it means, perhaps an owner at some point? Smooth bore. Approximately 69 or 70 caliber. 10 inch ocatgon barrel. 16 inches overall. Original steel ram rod. Missing the front trigger guard screw. A big neat old pistol. Made sometime in the mid-1800's.
