Made in the early 1960s, a fine Colt "The Coltsman" bolt action rifle chambered in .243 Win. Built by Sako, in Finland, on an L79 action. Very low serial number 49. 22" barrel has an alloy ramp and blade front sight. No provision for a rear sight. Excellent shiny bore. Excellent crisp action. Bluing is original but turning plum color on the trigger guard. The barrel, hinged floor plate, and trigger guard must have had light rust because there is evidence they were cleaned with steel wool which produced fine scratches and edge wear. Smooth metal still retains 90% factory blue. Excellent checkered walnut capped pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with a cheek piece and a contrasting wood fore-end tip. Excellent Colt logo butt plate. QD swivel studs. Minor handling marks in the wood and a small chip at the tang with no wood loss. Original "Coltmaster" scope isn't marked as to the power but it's approx. 8X. The 1" matte finished alloy tube has a steel eyepiece and objective that have light scratches and are also tuning plum. Plain crosshairs. Very good optics. The mount is specific to this scope and rifle. A rather scarce combination in very good condition! E-mail me with any questions. No reserve. Satisfaction, with my description, guaranteed. High bidder must be at least 21 and provides a signed FFL copy. Rifle will be shipped from my dealer to yours. Thanks for bidding and good luck!
