A very nice original K-98a rifle made at Erfurt in 1914 and so marked. This piece is all matching, right down to both barrel bands and even the front sight. The bore is very good with slight frosting. The wood is excellent with crisp cartouches with the exception of a duffle bag cut under the middle band and a small crack on the handguard just to the rear of the rear sight. This is a tough to find variant of the Mauser 98 and even harder to find with matching parts. From a 50 year Mauser collection. Comes with a repro sling for use in display.
