Seller's Description

Daisy 104, RARE Double Barrel BB Gun, 1930's

I am selling my very rare Daisy #104 Double Barrel BB Gun. It was made between 1937 and 1940. If you are not familiar with the #104, It looks just like a side by side shotgun. It works similar to a side by side shotgun, breaking open the barrels cocks the gun. The two triggers operate each barrel. There are loading tubes in each barrel that hold I guess about 50 BB’s each. From what I understand it was one of the first airguns with a safety. The gun is metal with wooden stock and forearm. There is scroll work of dogs and birds on the side, and scroll work of Daisy logo and patent numbers on the bottom. It is in good condition, the stock has scratches and there is very light rusting on the barrels. A very small crack on the forearm. I tried to take pictures of the worst areas so there are no suprises. It has not been cleaned or refurbished. It still has the original loading tubes and screws holding it together. I was recently asked if the the loading tubes are marked left and right, and they are, there is a small "L" stamped on one barrel and a small "R" stamped on the other. It is not really visible in second picture. I have shot it before and it still works fine, but not much power behind those BB’s. I have seen ones in very bad shape, very rusted, dented and missing parts sell for over $400 to ones in pristine shape sell for well over $2000. I would value mine somewhere in the middle. I found this gun in my grandfathers garage about 20 years ago. It has a long interesting family story. I hate to sell it. I live in the Chicago suburbs if you want to take a look before bidding. I am new to this site, I have sold a few things on Ebay with 100% positive feedback... Is paypal a payment option?
