Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Wm. Moore and Co. -- 10 Gauge Hammergun, Great

This Wm. Moore and Co. 10 gauge Hammer Double was made in London and has Fine Twist Steel barrels so it should not be fired with modern smokless powder, but it would make a great wallhanger or a blackpowder gun. Wm. Moore was a London gunmaker who produced exceptionally fine firearms, and this one is in really good condition. The serial number is 98. The 30" barrels have very good bores with moderate pitting. The two-piece checkered Walnut stock and forearm have no cracks or repairs, very few marks, and there is some really nice color in the wood. The buttplate has a 'deer scene', quite nice. There is a good amount of scroll engraving. The firing pin on the left side is missing, but both hammers cock and fire. A fine antique gun. No FFL needed. Shipping direct is $28.00.
