This gun looks to be in better than very good condition. Does it shoot fine ?? I can't see the light pitting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe single action is only when you pull the hammer back manually and then pull the trigger the rest of the way to fire the gun...

this is a double action pistol meaning it functions almost like a revolver. the hammer goes down when the slide is released or goes foward it does not stay cocked or hammer back..

The S&W 4586 is definitely a DAO with NO safety and NO decocker. The first pull of the trigger pulls the hammer back so it's a harder/longer pull. The second pull is lighter due to the recoil from the first round having already set the hammer in the fire position. Also if you don't let the trigger go all the way forward, the second and subsequent shots have a shorter pull. Thx, Bill
