The cylinder in marked ".22 LR", the serial number is stamped on the underside of the frame and the heel of the grip frame is engraved.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are mother of pearl and fit very nicely.
Type of Finish: Black anodized and gold wash.
Finish Originality: All original, we don’t about the originality of the gold.
Overall Condition: The gold wash on the barrel is starting to thin along the right side, probably from holster wear. There is some wear evident on the trigger as well. The black oxide is in good condition all around except for some small nicks by the cylinder pin. The remaining gold wash on the cylinder and hammer is strong. The grips are good plus condition and fit well. There is just the faintest indication of a drag line on the cylinder. The gun retains about 90% of its external finish.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with shallow rifling. There is some fouling which should clean up well.
Mechanics: The gun functions correctly. The timing is good and the springs are strong.
Box: There is no box.
Our Assessment: This is a striking example of a good old Colt .22 Scout. If you want that "cowboy" gun for the grandkids this will do well.
