The date code on the barrel is "AY".

Sights: Dovetailed front post sight and dovetailed windage and elevation adjustable rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are lightly oiled. There are numerous dings, mars and depressions in the wood but no splits cracks or significant losses.

Overall Condition: Overall, this gun would rate about 40%. There are only traces of blueing in protected areas. There is some heavy patina, erosion and surface rust to the metal. The screws are serviceable but some are marred. The left side of the receiver has been drilled and tapped 5 times for a sight. No sight is present.
Bore Condition: The bore has visible rifling the entire length, but does show some pitting and erosion.
Mechanics: The gun does not currently function and seems to need a bolt spring… Maybe more… Here is a project for you home gunsmiths.
