Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - COLT - 1851 NAVY C-Series -- 2nd Generation Cap & Ball...Mfd 1970's...NO FFL

NO RESERVE!! Here's an excellent condition, unfired, Colt Model 1851 Navy. This is an earlier second generation "C-Series" revolver that was manufactured in the 1970's. Like the original, this revolver is a .36 caliber cap & ball designed for use with black-powder. It wears a 7-1/2" octagonal barrel. The cylinder is rollmarked with the famous Naval Battle scene, just like the original. The cylinder and barrel are finished in bright blue and show excellent polish. The frame, hammer, and loading lever are covered in vivid case colors. The trigger guard and rear strap are silver plated. One-piece walnut grips complete the gun. Condition is excellent with about 99% original finish remaining. There is no significant wear from any use. The silver plating shows tarnish and some patina but there is no flaking or loss. The grips are in fine shape without cracks or chips but do have a couple of small handling marks. The mechanics appear to be in perfect shape and likewise the bore. The serial numbered parts are all matching. Comes with the original styrofoam box insert but the outer cardboard sleeve is missing. The "C-Series" revolvers were made between 1971-1978 in the serial number range 4201-25100, this is serial number 21112. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping. This is a black-powder handgun and as such no FFL is required in most areas and the gun can be shipped directly to the winning bidder. There are exceptions (NJ, NYC, etc) so please know your local laws before bidding. Buyer agrees to supply proof of age with payment (21 years of age minimum).

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

Modern firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your area. Bidder to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms only (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old).
California Residents: Many older handguns cannot be shipped into Calfornia due to State Restrictions. If the handgun in this auction is not on the current California Roster of Certified Handguns, please do not bid! The list can be checked here: CALIFORNIA HANDGUN ROSTER. C&R Handguns are exempt from this restriction however California law will NOT allow shipment of C&R HANDGUNS direct to a C&R holder in the State of California, a licensed 01 dealer must be used. I can only ship LONG GUNS directly to a California C&R holder.

Antique firearms require bidder to supply proof of age. Some areas still require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.)
