Barrel Length: 29"

Stock Configuration & Condition: Standard full length stock. The stock has many dings, scratches and mars and shows use but there are no major cracks or losses. There is little finish left on the stock.

Sights: Raised blade front sight and rear "V" sight with sliding elevator.

Type of Finish: Military blue.

Year of Manufacture: 1919

Markings: The bolt release, the bolt and bolt handle with safety and firing pin are all marked "136". Both barrel bands and the floorplate of the magazine are also marked "136" , The receiever is very clearly and deeply marked with the Swedish crown and "Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori. 1919" . The serial number is found on the left side of the receiver. On the right side pf the barrel near the muzzle is found "CAI STalbvt" and 'M80 Sweden 6.5x55"

Notes on Gun: The cleaning rod is included with this gun. There is a brass disk on the right rear buttstock with the "carrot" pointing at "0".

Finish Originality: All original.

Finish Condition: The metal is smooth. Approximately 90% of the finish on the metal is retained. There are signs of light use and storage wear, but generally the gun is in very good condition. There is some discoloration on the bolt handle, otherwise there is no pitting or erosion found.

Bore Condition: The bore is shiny and clean with sharp rifling.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly.

Box: No box.

Overall Condition / Final Thoughts: A great example of the Swedish M1896 with little bore wear. This gun should appeal to collectors and shooters alike.

Insured shipping will cost $45 to an FFL or to a C&R.

Layaways are offered, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. No returns are accepted on Layaway items.

Your gun will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of payment, usually the next day and you will receive an email notification with a tracking number upon receipt of your payment to let you know that we have received it.

This gun can only be shipped to an FFL or C&R, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area.
