Action Type: Bolt action, with hand actuated cocking knob.

Serial Number: NSNF

Markings: "Remington Arms Co. Inc. Ilion N.Y. Made in USA - Patents Pending"; "The Targetmaster Model 41" and associated identification and caliber are stamped on the barrel, "86" is stamped on the right sight of receiver.

Barrel Length: 27 inches

Sights: Front bead on post, rear adjustable elevator and notch.

Stock Configuration & Condition: Plain wood pistol-grip stock with light varnish finish and hard rubber or bakelite butt pad. Wood is good, with some handling and storage marks, no significant scratches or dings.

Type of Finish: Blue finish on barrel and receiver..

Finish Originality: Original

Overall Condition: Rifle shows wear typical of a rifle of this vintage, with wear to the blue on barrel and frame, handling marks on stock, and some wear to the bore. We place the overall condition of this rifle around 70%.

Bore Condition: Good condition, shows some wear, would benefit from a good cleaning.

Mechanics: Gun functions as designed.

The bolt action is durable and reliable, and the manually-activated cocking knob is an excellent method of teaching safety and firearms discipline. Insured shipping will cost $30 to an FFL or a C&R.

Layaways are offered, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. No returns are accepted on Layaway items.

Your gun will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of payment, usually the next day and you will receive an email notification with a tracking number upon receipt of your payment to let you know that we have received it.

This gun can only be shipped to an FFL or C&R, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. Please include a copy of the license with payment. We will need CLFD numbers for CA licensees to ship. We are FFL dealers and comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
