Beautiful!! Is the only way to describe this Winchester Model 70 Pre 64 300 H&H magnum with a 26" bbl, and a Redfield 3x9 scope & Redfield mounts, according to the serial # it was manufactured in 1950 which was right around the transition time. This gun is absolutely pristine in every sense, it has set in a gun safe for over 30 years and judging from the looks of the bore I would say it has not even seen a full box of shells fired through it since purchased brand new.
The pictures speak for themselves! The buyer of this gun will not be disappointed, as this weapon is of museum quality. I would give anything to still have the original box to this rifle to go with it!
Added 11-2-10 After receiving inquires as to whether or not this rifle had been refinished, I contacted the original owner and he did in fact confirm to me that it had been sent in back in the 1970's and reconditioned, then placed back in the safe & never fired since. As far as the appearance of the rifle it looks as if it is brand new, it is extremely hard to tell.
