Stock Configuration: Hogue rubber molded grips

Sights: The front sight has a blade in a dovetail slot and is painted red. The rear sight is from "Heinie" and is both elevation and windage adjustable.

Type of Finish: Factory chrome plated finish

Year of Manufacture: 1978

Markings: The left side of the slide is marked "Browning Arms Company Morgan Utah and Montreal P.Q. Made in Belgium". The right side is marked "Browning Centennial 1878-1978".

Notes on Gun: This is number 283 of the 3500 guns produced in 1978. This gun has several added features; 1) an ambidextrous slide release, and 2)an ambidextrous safety. Also the 3) wooden grips have been replaced with Hogue rubber grips. There may have been some added 4) trigger work as the trigger pull is crisp and light, with very little over travel and only a small amount of take-up.

Finish Originality: All original

Finish Condition: The finish is very good throughout showing little wear, there is a minor visible scratch on the left side of slide above the slide release as well as some flaking on the underside of the trigger guard and in the slide serrations.

Bore Condition: The bore is clean with good rifling.

Mechanics: The action works properly.

Box: No box

Overall Condition / Final Thoughts: This is a Belgium made Browning Hi-Power, with factory embellishments and shooter customizations. A very nice gun and a gun that would cost well over a thousand dollars to duplicate.

Insured shipping will cost $25.

Layaways are offered, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. No returns are accepted on Layaway items. Otherwise, full payment is required within 14 days.

Your gun will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of payment, usually the next day and you will receive an email notification with a tracking number upon receipt of your payment to let you know that we have received it.

This gun can only be shipped to an FFL, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. Please include a copy of your dealer’s license with payment. We will need CLFD numbers for CA FFL’s to ship. We are FFL dealers and comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
