Markings: The left side of the slide is marked "Browning Arms Company Morgan Utah and Montreal P.Q. Made in Belgium". The right side is marked "Browning Centennial 1878-1978".
Notes on Gun: This is number 283 of the 3500 guns produced in 1978. This gun has several added features; 1) an ambidextrous slide release, and 2)an ambidextrous safety. Also the 3) wooden grips have been replaced with Hogue rubber grips. There may have been some added 4) trigger work as the trigger pull is crisp and light, with very little over travel and only a small amount of take-up.
Finish Originality: All original
Finish Condition: The finish is very good throughout showing little wear, there is a minor visible scratch on the left side of slide above the slide release as well as some flaking on the underside of the trigger guard and in the slide serrations.
Bore Condition: The bore is clean with good rifling.
Mechanics: The action works properly.
Box: No box
Overall Condition / Final Thoughts: This is a Belgium made Browning Hi-Power, with factory embellishments and shooter customizations. A very nice gun and a gun that would cost well over a thousand dollars to duplicate.
