Guns For Sale - Savage Arms Corp. -- Savage Semi Auto 16 gauge Browning Patent 1900

Savage Model 720 Semi Automatic 16 gauge auto loader, with a 28 inch full choke barrel. The gun is in fairly good condition for its age. The side of the receiver is stamped ‘John M. Browning, patented 1900.’ The stock has been sanded and refinished (poorly). There is a small chip on the top by the receiver but no cracks on the stock. It has an old recoil pad added onto the butt. The fore end has a small splinter that has been glued on top, but there are no cracks. The receiver is brown with a few freckles. The barrel is blue turning brown; it has a shiny bore with a small dent and a few pits.

Payment and Shipping Instructions:
Payment must be received in certified funds within 10 days of the closing of the auction. Firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your area unless otherwise noted. Bidder to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. Antique firearms require bidder to supply proof of age. Some states require an FFL transfer for antique & black power firearms. Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. Buyer agrees to hold seller not responsible against any damages, injury or death caused by a defective firearm. The firearms offered are not test fired. Shipping charge for long guns is $32.00 and $20.00 for handguns. All guns will be shipped to buyers/dealers, no pickup. Shipping to AK and HI requires additional charges. No overseas shipping. Not all handguns are MA compliant unless noted. No firearms will be sold to California. I reserve the right to re-list a firearm if the site goes down within the final 6 hours of closing.

        A:  I chambered a 2 3/4 inch shell and it fits ok. The gun was made between 1930 and 1949. 10/31/2010
