The VA is run by the Federal Goverment, and the VA was unionized by JFK.  So why were there incentives for not providing care to vets?  Simple, it was about the only cost that the VA had control over.  They certainly couldn't fire workers, reduce their slaries, or do much else in the way of cutting administratiove costs. And typically, with unionized labor, there isn't really much you can do to force workers to be more productive. All that was left was simply to give incentives for not treating patinets.  Think about that, when folks like Hillary want to move us into a single payer system.

Michael Moore, and several big shot media celebrities have long been telling us how great the Canadian system is.  As much as I may find them vaucus, their opinions carry a lot of weight with far too many.

Kriegers, having grown up in Europe I can tell you the reason Americans travel abroad is for unapprroved procedures, not because it is cheaper but because it is available which is a different issue entirely.

We'll Canada has a highly regarded healthcare system, and there was huge waiting lists for catscans.  Some people started going to their vet for a catscan, to get one sooner.  Canada took care of the matter by making it illegal to go to a vet office for a catscan.  Right now we have the freedom to go abroad for procedures, if we wish to save money.  Once Government fully takes over this nation's healthcare, going overseas may be the only way to get a procedure done before a patient becomes terminal, because of excesively long waiting lists. A big part of the current VA scandal has to do with vets dying, as they wait for hundreds of days.

All we need to do is look at what is happening withour vets, to know what is in store for us, when the only health care availabe (Unless your wealthy enough to fly out of the country for medical care) is that which is provided by the Government.  The ACA is just the beginning.

Ever since Bundy had his press conference, people have been backing away from him, because his views are those of which they completely disagree with. Whatever the guys personally held believes may be, it doesn't justify the Goverment spending all those millions of making an example of him, to let the public know we have a Government that they need to fear, and that is more likely to go after a US citizen, than an Alqueda terrorist.

Well didn't Nancy Pelosi say Congress had to pass Obamacare, if they wanted to find out what was in it?
