Thread Title: "Kudos to Manny and the AA crew"

This is anything but a complaint, but it is my opinion.  Kudos to Manny and the AA developers for spiffing up the website.  It just plain shines!  It is vivid and quick, and the gun descriptions on the "Closing Soon" bar at the top of the Home page is something I have wanted for a long time.

As a very experienced programmer, I think you have done an outstanding job.  Congrats!!

It certainly would be nice if that spiffy new website filled up the whole page instead of that stupid gray area on both sides.

On the classic version there is a full screen. On the new version it does fill the screen however the last 1&1/2" on each side of the auction is gray. I like the old version where the text and photos will fill the screen.

This isn't an issue with the programming.  See if you can set your browser to show a white background and the grey bars will disappear.  One of the things that drives web developers nuts is that in the end they have no control of exactly what is seen on the user's monitor.  In IE there's a setting in "Tools" and "Accessibility" under the "General" Tab that allows you to "Ignore specified colors on web pages."  It will give you a white background and send the poor programmer who wanted you to see it the way he thought it looked best to drink.

This is just nuts. It's not my computers, it's Auction Arms. It is a programming issue. Why should I have I have to adjust anything on my computer to view just one website? If it was a problem with my computers then I should have this problem with every website, not just one. Every single time anyone has a programming issue with Auction Arms their response is to tell that user they have to go to a different version of Internet Explorer, to go to Firefox, change your browser, blah, blah, blah. Why should anyone have to ever change their computer setting to view any one website? Plus it's not an issue of a gray background, a white background, or a pink (sorry Wali) background. It's having ANY 2" border on each side of the auction page. On the classic version the text. photos, and general auction info fills the screen. I don't need the dead any color space on each side.

I go to dozens of websites every single day and not one of them have this issue. I go to the classic version of Auction Arms and it doesn't have this issue. In the course of a few weeks I probably go to a hundred different websites and none of them have this issue. It's only the new version of Auction Arms that has this problem. I will continue to use the classic version of Auction Arms, if it goes away so may some other of us.

I think the problem is a lack of gray matter between the ears of certain users .....  Surprised

Look at these two same auctions in the two versions of Auction Arms and see if you can notice the difference.
