Thread Title: "Advertizing is killing sellers sales and AA"
ammo-one

Gunauction is more interested in advertizing then the sellers. I could understand adverting Cars and trucks, or manufures with new guns etc.. But buy advertizing companies that take away from sellers sales? If the sellers don't sell they will leave! If the site loses hits, no advertizing. HOW DO YOU SPELL CHAPTER 11 !!!!!!

NO MORE "CHEAPER THEN DIRT, MIDWAY or other advertiziers that take away sellers sales and make buyer leave the web-site. Thank you Dave Call at  www.ammo-one.com a little free ad for my web-site

I have seen the new auction format, and it sure does seem to be a mighty slap in the face of ALL AA sellers to have a competitior's add planted right at ground zero in their auction. ammo, you have a good point. They seem to not give a single thought to those that have provided the $ into AA's coffers as they grew from a dream to the one time best site for guns on the net.

Sure, the buyers are an important facet as well, as they provide the funds to the buyers in the sale facilitated by the AA site. They are being shunned as well by having a dysfuntcional site at this time. AA seems to have blinders on and not care about the sellers as they disrespect them enormously with these actions. All they are concerned with is making the site glitzy for the supposed flood of new buyers that is just waiting with baited breath to pounce upon the site as soon as it has enough glitter and tinsel to tickle their precious little geek brains that AA seems to have dreams about.

I would suggest to AA that they do a survey to establish the actual demographics of their user audience and see just how many geeks they actually attract and retain. Their real CORE MEMBERS are most likely not of the geek sort and never will be regardless of WHAT kind of bells and whistles they put on their site.

The new site looks like it was designed by someone who has acute ADD or at least was off their meds. There are important items missing as well as malfunctioning, there is the slap-in-the-face of the sellers with the center of their auction ads, and simply a poorly put together and unthought out feel to it. Didn't SOMEONE at least compare the new to the old to ascertain that all functions that USED to exist still do?

If I didn't know better I would say that there was more desire to get the site into reality at any cost than desire to preserve their user base and introduce a well thought out and presented final result. This site always seems to make plans, introduce a poorly thought out product and then scramble like crazy to fix it and try to appease those whose toes they stepped upon. Granted, in  The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. Ready, Fire, Aim is supported as a viable business model, but with an established history of this very approach not being succesful here and with the GunPal debacle in VERY recent memory as a similar effort, one wonders why it was tried yet again. Get your act together and give us our formerly attractive and USABLE site back and stop dissing your sellers.

Was the new site designed by a spy from the "other" site? It sure would explain why it works so "well"! He probably was paid a whole lot more by them than you, AA!

(no avatar) Perhaps AA should take valuable input they got so far, retreat a bit back to the old site and tweak the new site behind the scenes in a longer beta trial, now that they kmow what needs fixin. Just sayin....
