Thread Title: "New to the site, need some advice "
(no avatar)

Howdy,

I'm a new seller/ buyer on AA and I've just had my first auctions close.  One of them was a reserve auction where the high bid didn't meet the reserve... fair enough.  The following day I recieved I got an e-mail from a buyer asking me to relist (they didn't mention any specifics about the gun I had for sale, just the auction number... that always makes me twitchy no matter what I'm selling).  Not being the sort to click on random e-mail links I logged into AA and checked my messages - there was nothing there, no messages.  The next day, I recieved a request to haggle on the auction with the high bidder (name was hidden), again I logged into the site and checked my messages, still nothing there.  I went to the haggle link and was told that the high bidder's account had been disabled and they were therefore unavailable.

I have two questions:

1. When someone contacts me through the AA website should there be a message in "my messages"?  In both cases the e-mails I recieved were originating from "operations@auctionarms.com" so they seem legit.

2. Is this common?  I understand there are a million jacka**s in the world that make doing business difficult, but did I set myself up for this, or does everyone get it from time to time...

The third option is of course that I'm completely off base and no harm was intended, but I tend to air on the side of caution.

Auction # was 10582292

Thanks for your time, I appreciate any input

Ryan
